DrakonLameth: As a legacy player, to clear up one bit in there -- the gobbue was a quest we could have done in 1.0, but wasn't a given thing, so everyone with the legacy gobbue is a 1.0 character, but not every 1.0 character has a gobbue (as opposed to the singed-looking chocobo, which is an account-level mount for all of us legacy players)

Duskaria: It's funny to me how the thing about the spell names is an entirely english version exclusive lore re-write. In the Japanese, German and Frensh versions, all spells are appropriately named -ra, -ga, -ka as is tradition in the Final Fantasy franchise.

Alexandria dungeon trash is full of FF13 enemies like flying Cie'th and Enki/Enlil being used as defensive programs in FF14. Additionally, the silver lobo that drops its respective hide for leatherworking is pulled straight out of the beast of the same name from FF13, I believe in Chapter 5.

davidlynch9469: You forgot to mention that not only did the shield not block magic but it also only blocked attacks from the front. This was the same for parry. So if you had a good tank that would stick their back into a corner or wall after the pull to give them the best chance of blocking or parrying incoming attacks as part of their mit.
