Tragic Fallout Secrets at the Slumber Mill Motel Fallout 76 Skyline Valley Lore

Singeferno: Ox missed that Tom Neeman brought a different woman to the motel.

Even if all the staff were robots, one human is typically still there. Other locations that went fully autonomous had a single human that was there for maintenance. They’re not allowed to anything else. There was Grafton Dam, Red Rocket Mega Stop, and another place I can’t remember with a note or terminal entry where the worker says they were kept on to do maintenance but not allowed to work.

The note in the bathroom is a reference to the Fallout 76 is just a simulation theory. Bethesda is saying that it’s not. It’s real. And it’s canon.

The ranger on the roof was in the bunker at the visitor center. The man there tells you that all the other rangers just left one day.
tinaherr3856: I think that they used Biv's model for a robobrain because he was the only robot with tuxedo. And they forgot to remove the stickers.

Also, I don't think that the people that were in the "Nothing is real" room were actually trying to use the bathroom. I think that they were scavenging/exploring the location, and stumbled upon the room. Exactly like your character did.

Edit: also, the 16 pre war money in the bag could theoretically be in hundred dollar bills. Since all paper money has the same value in the post apocalypse
OmegaInfinityAlpha: Whatever developer stuck Biv there probably didn't know the context of him, and just saw a robobrain with a tuxedo. They probably thought "oh, this one's in a tux. That would fit in better as hotel staff than just a random robobrain."

This whole DLC is full of stuff like this, where is feels like somebody had a genuinely good idea, but we're either stuck making do or just cheaped out with using the existing models and resources.
renaigh: "Nothing Is Real" is referencing a theory that 76 takes place in a VR Simulation (like the memory den/tranquility lane) the note is clearly the devs telling us how they feel about it.
goblinloremaster6101: Oxhorn, to explain Biv's apperance, it could be that Bethesda is planning on moving him to the Slumber Mill and retrofitting it into a larger bar to draw more people into Skyline Valley. They do this everynow and then where they leave little... oddities around areas that they are planning to update and change.
JVYZilla: Loving the content Ox and can’t wait to see you finish Fallout London!
sydryi3086: the vault section under the motel is the engineering sector, where the vault made their weapons, robots and power armour, but was cut or was never fully completed.
hellcat1401: The mannequin in the shower reminds me of Bates Motel/Psycho.
chartreux1532: Nice, was hoping for a Lore Video on this one! I hope they will be adding more DLCs/Updates in the Vein of Skyline Valley, Wastelanders etc.
Also i'm happily surprised you started Fallout London, i'm glad you do! As someone in Comments of that Video said regarding you having wrong Textures in the Mod. That's because of the High-res Texture Pack from Steam, deactivate that and instead of the Boston Bugle etc. you get the proper British Textures!
Can't wait to see you play that, it's really good and while not official, very Lore-accurate from the 5h i played so far!
Prost & Cheers from Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps (I wonder what happened to us European Alpine Folks in 2077)
myang245: Hey ya'll. I've been out of the loop, but why has Oxhorn reduced his live streams?
khamulangmar2111: 16 prewar money, would be 16 bundles of pre-war money. Not a pittance, but still not a huge amount.
