oiltunaking: was an aristocrat main but i changed to anti armor / overeaters cuz i got tired of having to worry about the cap amount all the time, i just want to the freedom to go to a vendor w 40k and leave w 2.
ShinyUmbreonz: I tried both anti-armour and aristocrats on all my main guns and I prefer aristocrats
Sabahes_ASMR: This isn't really a good example. Since Anti Armor is more effective against high armor bosses.
NorthernChev: Your caps go UP and DOWN --> Anti-Armor never does.
kuyo-blackstone: test everything leave nothing to speculation you will be surprised
invicta6110: I'd go with Aristocrats, but I have a tendency to go crazy buying ammo in bulk when someone is selling it in large amounts. For this reason alone, I'll stick with AA for consistency.
Drakedrage: It basically comes down to how resistances works. The more damage dealt, the less effective resistances are. By increasing damage output, you also increase how much resistance is bypassed. Anti-Armor Increases damage by lowering how much resistance has to be bypassed, which makes it stronger with low damage against high armor. Your VATS crits are doing so much damage, most of the enemies' resistances are bypassed by default, making Aristocrat's more potent.
imacactus555: Besides that, I cannot but admit some things about anti-armor in comparisons to other 50% stars:
1. Anti-armor will outperform all other 50% stars on the most tougher enemies (e.g. bosses such as Earle and mini bosses such as behemoths, oguas, etc.) that have higher resistances;
2. Anti-armor will outperform any other 50% star on lower base damage weapons such as, let's say, assault rifle or 10 mm pistol almost in any situation since they does not receive very good additive boosts (such as aristocrats);
3. Anti-armor will outperform any 50% for more damage boosts you apply to yourself as long as your damage doesn't prevail on the enemy resistance at 6.66 times, if the damage exceeds 6.66 damage over resistance number, then anti-armor will do nothing from this point. The difference is not that much, usually I were able to squeeze ~ 60% damage from anti-armor, but remember that that damage boost doesn't affect additive damage formula calculation.
I haven't compared anti-armor to bloodies tho since I play only fullhp, but theretically bloodied will exceed anti-armor
mrman4358: Aristocrats seems better if you’re min-maxing, anti armor seems better if you just want more damage and don’t care about limiting your cap use
patientzero291: I might start selling aristocrats.
jacobbecklehimer7781: I have been using Aristocrats on my slow burning,multi barrel cremator for a while, with a psycho the burn damage is just over 2k on my setup. I can shoot once into a group and kill them all after letting them burn for a second or 2. It has been an amazing combo for me running through expeditions and coming out with thousands more fuel than what I went in with.
Also in case anyone doesn’t know, you can shoot with the cremator and once they are on fire, switch to a different weapon, (my example would be a prime gauss minigun) and when they die from the burn, they drop ammo for your currently held weapon. I haven’t crafted or bought ammo in so long, and I usually end up giving alot away to my brother and friends.
DominusGhaul: I run emotional damage since the game crashes all the time i get a 2,000 percent damage boost for 10 seconds before it crashes again
Rpground: I've known this since I started the game. It's been like this for a VERY long time. Even Two-Shot can out damage AA in certain situations, no not just on launchers.
AA is for a generalist damage boost that won't be the best but requires no maintenance. Everything else requires you to do something to get the higher damage, be it play at night, have 29k caps or be addicted to multiple things.
Santoroz: Depends on the weapon. Cremator for example, Aristocrat is much better because it affects the dot. AA does NOT affect the dot.
On my Tesla Cannon, I prefer AA, because with explosive/DC the explosions do crazy damage.
Whatever you use, just test it out as the 1* are pretty cheap to switch.
StacieMMeier: Anti-Armour works best against high levels and Bosses with high resistance. If you can get explosive perk with it, it makes it one of the best combos in Fallout 76.
tt128556: I noticed that when I switched from Vampire's to Anti-Armor GP, my damage against EN06 hardly changed at all. Anti-Armor is broken somehow.
Lukos0036: I wish they would bring the other dmg boost types up to 50% and bring bloodied down to 50% just to give people more reason to diversify their builds. Everyone does a bloodied build and it's boring.
GPatch: Just a heads up on the Gatling plasma, anti-armor is better than aristocrats only because of all the new mods the Gatling plasma has.
NorthernChev: Well, as you know, you're not always "swimming in caps". I mean, for the most part we are, right? But then, suddenly you found that player vendor selling top mods for massive discounts and you bought them ALL. Now you're no longer above 28K. Don't fool yourself. This happens all the time and we know it. But Anti-Armor will ALWAYS be effective.
Hikari-zp1nt: Aristocrats have always been my go-to for most weapons, I honestly prefer it over bloodied, maintaining a high cap count is much easier than purposely caping your health without dying constantly.
Cyanonyxx: Here’s a thing people sleep on and it may be because people don’t know how to properly run it …… junkies gives same buff 50 and you don’t need a bunch of caps just addictions ….. yes there’s downsides but I have been and will run junkies till ghoulification I do nearly as much damage as a bloody build and if built right it’s still a forgotten class that needs attention ……. Suggested to do junkies against these two
aggeroxf: Thanks for the heads up! I have two fully kitted out Gatling plasmas so I will put aristocrats on the 2nd one for when I have the caps
XerouEffect13: as someone who cant keep a large ammount of caps. any aristocrats mods i have only get like 5 to 10% and thats it...
LJJones-yj9ot: Hey @Mrwesttek can you do a video on a work around for the PA glitch. A lot of ppl are getting annoyed and I have a simple fix so we don't have to deal with the issue anymore.
Place down PA, collect the PA, place down the PA again, get in. It's quick and it works. Please get the word out there..
grimfrostad6173: I tried Bloodied and Antiamor, and It feels like AA does more damage when I was fighting the Epsilon Squad. The rest of the raid, bloodied was better which I would assume Ari would perform the same.
benitezkebab: I can't understand how aristocrats can be better than let's say bloody.
cyborg5555: Junkies is also still an option but kids these days wont even consider it
