Abcadeaz: My only issue with AFKers is when they take up the lobby and there's nobody to participate in the other events... Can't count how many times I've failed eviction notice and moonshine jamboree this past two weeks, which NEVER would happen for that. Turns out 1-2 people for those events isn't ideal
robfenwitch7403: you forgot that special feeling you get when glowing masks never drop but you can see them all around you.
clashwithtk0n516: As a PS5 player, I just want it to end. I can't take all of the crashing anymore lol
mattgillon3645: The problem is when you're the only one doing the event and 19 people are afk
kajmagician: I don't care about AFKers, it doesn't matter. I just wish they would have some sort of increase to the rates depending on how much you helped or something that favors people participating in the event.
SeventySix101-d4w: I lost hope. Looking forward to this event ending
facepunchallday._.3433: At the end of the event there should be an option to trade in 50 berets for a glowing mask. Consolation prize or something
AntonioB.Arroyo: I disagree with the whole 'i want to earn it' concept, as it is based on RNG and not SKILL. I will 100% uphold the 'i want to earn it' argument if the only way to get a certain item is to defeat a very difficult raid/boss/event, but when the 'earn it' part is simply throwing the dice? That's not earning it, you simply get lucky or you don't, there is no earning involved.
DemonCipher13: I think that the only thing that needs to change, is adding some bad luck protection.
If you do, say, 50-75 events, and no rare masks, have a special currency that you can use for a vendor to turn in for a random rare mask.
doh4342: You have to be kidding me. There was no magical feeling after playing for one week not receiving any of the rare masks. It's really upsetting and frustrating that you spend me specifically 10 hours grinding trying to get a mask and not getting one
ZionSavior: I don’t hate how hard it is to get a glowing mask, I was able to get 2 this year. It wouldn’t be rare if it wasn’t hard to get. People resort to afk just to give them a chance since they can’t play all day.
scottwalker2101: I've got roughly 167 events done. 1 rare mask. 166 common masks.
kimhopkins2647: I get tired of the AFK people, I was playing yesterday and there was 14 people at the event and there was only 2 people doing all the work to get the "eggs, wood, bees wax and gathering all the robots". But at the end when the BIG BOSS was killed they all ran up to get their goodies.
hermanata2451: 1 rare mask. Over 120 events. Lag is worse than ever. It would be nice to get more than this man this sucks. Not asking to get them all but dude id like to get more than this with the time and effort i put into this game i deserve more than just 1 stinkin mask in 2 weeks worth of grinding
NorthernChev: All I would ask of Bethesda is to increase the number of killable mobs for this Event. With 19 people there, you're lucky to get in three or four hits and that's it. I'm exaggerating, but I'm not.
patrickbarrett5790: Get the whole set???? I would like ONE glowing mask from this damn event. Sick of Witch masks. Jesus.
c0smickilljoy533: Over 90 runs so far… 1… Glowing… Mask…
Yet the people lvl 100 and below… they have the new stuff.
marks1991: I currently refuse to play fasnacht because 60-70% of the time I get the blue screen of death and my ps4 locks up
kampi245: Last year i despised the people who were AFK. At the same time, I was doing 4-5 fashnat events daily for the duration of the event and I got like two glowing masks. This year I said F-it and started leaving my character afk for the night.
Boom 8 glowing masks, from which 4 are new. Am I ashamed for AFKing? At this point, no.
If the event is constructed this badly, that a roll of dice decides on what you get, instead of rewarding people actually participating in it, or idk, automatically increasing the chances of glowing masks of you've been getting only common ones.
You should have issues with Bethesda, not people who want to get cool items and not play the game 24/7 and hoping for idiot's luck.
pondafarr: AFK people irritate me, it is supposedly a teamwork event, yet they contribute nothing. I'd prefer that the devs updated the event with performance markers, if you don't do something
Nobody18718: I've had more bad than good luck
ArtisticallyArranged: I got a glowing mask, and was so excited that I made a whole outfit to match. I then got harrassed so much, that I decided to leave my mask in my Stash, which was a much better idea.
It's just not worth the animosity.
Reibonne: The problem with the AFKers lies in your point about mask rarity. If a mask is valuable because it's rare, then more rare masks coming into the game via a swath of players actively not engaging with the game devalues the masks, and the game overall.
As others have mentioned, every other aspect of the game outside of Fasnacht is also taking a hit, as there are now several player slots taken up on every server that might have gone to players doing other events, Daily Ops, etc.. The AFKers may not be killing the game, but they are actively making it more dead, and profiting beyond the scope of honest players while they're at it.
paulcappello5931: AFK is bad, drop rate is bad. The biggest problem with the AFKers isn't that they're AFK for the Fasnacht event so much as they literally take up all the other space on the server such that no other event gets anyone showing up at all. This is my first Fasnacht and I couldn't give two hoots about the rare masks, but it is troubling that literally everything else is basically shut down until Fasnacht is over.
yurigroenkan: The RNG sucks 1 in 500 change is ridiculous.
Sturmgeist702: Got a glowing blue devil mask. Second one in over a year. Still trying for a glowing robot.
hpcriticall8108: Honestly, whenever Fasnacht comes around. I take it as a time to take a vacation from Fallout 76. As its just another HUGE reminder that Bethesda is in this JUST for the money. They dont care about fixing things to make it better for the players, just to drive us more crazy to make sales. Adding more and more unobtainable masks just makes the whole event feel like a complete waste of time. There's only two I want and an almost impossible chance of getting them. No luck, no skill, no effort except spending hours of life either doing the event or keeping my computer logged in to afk and reap from others efforts. Its disgusting and legit makes me rethink playing the game further.
