jeffbarnesyout: Cremator works very well in VATS. It acts like a homing missile, Plasma Caster style. Have you seen it? But it’s fascinating because it relies entirely on VATS hit chance, and if the chance isn’t high enough, it does NO damage. Even when it explodes right next to the target. But if VATS hit chance is high enough, it homes in on a moving target. And with DOT, that target, unless it’s super tanky like a big boss, will die in a few seconds. But when you shoot it without VATS, it doesn’t act the same. It’s just several projectiles lobbied in the same direction, and it can have a very large area of effect with grenadier. It feels a bit like a flame thrower combined with a missile launcher. But you need a good degree of Perception for it to work well on VATS.
