ArtemisKitty: You can pick up a sometimes modded, stronger base numbers one ala the Enclave Plasma Pistol, which you can easily farm in the Enclave Research Facility, or buy from MODUS.

Dropped connection events for the mods, with Harper's Ferry being the best chance. Worth the time.

I don't think it's entirely fair to say Slug Buster cannot compete with the new crafted 4-star Legendaries.

Remember that Slug Buster has had a hidden 4th star from its very introduction, -20% AP cost. Compare that with the other 4-star mods that exist, and I think, even though it's not customizable, it's still VERY competitive. I have always said it's probably the best guaranteed Legendary Weapon that anyone and everyone can get, just by doing the questlines.

leehelck4606: i tried the Slug Buster for the first time to complete the 2nd week event challenge for dealing energy damage and was surprised how well it performed. i was using my commando build and switched out of my SSA into the CSA and was annihilating everything i came across. i didn't even make any upgrades to it either, i ran it bone stock. it has a great ROF and seemed to be very ammo efficient. i don't know how it would perform using your method of glitching it out, but after seeing this i think i may give it a try.
