The speed upgrade at tier 1 does increase the brahmin's speed significantly (x5?, to base speed?), but speed upgrades at tier 2 & 3 just extend their sprint time between hurry pushes ( 0.05?, 0.08?).
The two ricochet upgrades give brahmin 5 & 10% dmg reflection (but not from grenades).
The health upgrades ( 50, 70, 100, 100) also improve rad resistance ( 50, 70, 100, 100).
Overall, I'd say to hire Josie and to buy the speed upgrade at tier 1 are a must. The sooner the better.
aimaxmix: If you upgrade all what is the reason to run caravans at all? May be not to do this? What is the reason of doing caravans in long perspective?
77Format: The upgraded speed works well on private servers. But on the laggy public servers the brahmin seems as slow as without the upgrade. I still suggest upgrading the brahmin first until moving to other employees.

Rorschach1998: Are the rewards for the caravans supposed to be so abysmal ? I keep joining caravans and defending their brahmins but I barely get any rewards.
