Kenjilescara: Did they really say that we could not use a helmet or mask as a disguise because its supposedly an insult or disservice to Jay's skills? Its's completely irrelevant, her skills are giving you a burlap sack and telling you to put it on. What about instances where you have a "disguise" on but you're glowing (High-Max glow etc) You're emitting mass amounts of radiation and that stops it or is it only realistic in places they want it to be. How does Jaye modify your voice, does power armor not modulate your voice? If they dont already count then Power Armors should definitely work as disguises, minus the downsides too.This all seems kinda bs

Old__Odin: Jaye is good at disguises and yet the disguise is horrible looking. What we need is Jaye at our camp then it wouldn't be such a hassle.

Dirtbag-Hyena: The REAL reason for chargin' money to switch back and forth is simply GREED. If it truly matter to them and they truly wanted it to be a weighty choice,they'd have just made it permanent. 1x ghoul and 1x back and if you change back into a human,too bad,you can't go back.

THAT would've had more weight,but they NEEDED to throw in monetary gain for themselves.

Hell,I can't think of a single instance where a ghoul turned back into a human. I know of 1 instance where at least 1 human chose to turn into a ghoul so that IS lore friendly. So,switching back and forth is already gamey and adds more reason they not only allow switching,but also charge for it.

TheToonpimp: Remove the need for disguise or make it possible for us to use our already gathered masks helmets and such... Ffs... And give us riflemen more reason to play as a ghoul... This whole update is slop. They're talking a bunch about switching back and forth... There is no need. If you're a melee main. that's that... That's the ONLY good thing a Ghoul is good for.

Del_UK: I do not think, the Fallout 76 Team/Bethesda answered the question correctly. You start a new game as a Ghoul character. I think, might be wrong, the question was about new dialogue for the quest lines to the stage of launching a nuke. Example would be, completing Rose's quests as a Ghoul. New dialogue or same dialogue, you just a ghoul now.

Sassy-603: Every npc a ghoul runs into should react appropriately before they even considered releasing the idea to the public at all. So you'll run around for months without "people" noticing until more work is done and they can "update" the lines of dialog... and then suddenly "people" will be like "whoa" when you approach?

And my first thought is… why not make it a 30 day cool down..? Could it be because you want to incentivize heavy spending from the player base for the terrible-terrible game called Fallout 76?

Corbin_Rambles: Not being able to use our own cosmetics as disguises is a major L from Bethesda.

I would much rather use my own helmets, bandanas, hats, ect. to cover my ghouls face instead of the crappy rag mask that makes us look like raider psychopaths. If Bethesda is worried about making more money, then why not just promote atomic shop items being able to be used as disguises? The only argument that I could see against this idea would be that Bethesda wouldn't want us using our already bought/earned cosmetics as disguises since then we'd have no reason to give them more money, but the disguise in-game doesn't even cost real world money anyway so I don't understand their reasoning other than just wanting to make the new disguise NPC seem important.

Maybe they can give her a game mechanic where she has to approve of our outfits instead of forcing us to wear hers? That way I can wear whatever I want as a ghoul, but then she's still important to the game by making sure my outfit is up to ghoul code?

I don't know. I'm excited to become a ghoul on one of my characters, but I'm very disappointed with everything they've presented so far.

1.) I don't want to feel forced into being melee focused

2.) I don't want the crappy rag disguise, I want to use my own outfits that I've already bought/earned

3.) And I want to see more immersive NPC and world interactions. I mean we're ghouls for Atoms sake, literally everyone should have unique reactions to us.

I understand that all of that takes time for them to record and implement, but I much rather would have preferred them to take the time to work on all of that first before releasing this update. Because as of right now, it feels like they're rushing this out unfinished just so they can say that they released the update on time

The whole thing about Jay is just dumb, ok she is the only one who can create it, great we get it from her, but we should be able to take it off and put it on afterward this is going to make me hate it very much.
