annareifer2249: My second pet sloth has died, probably because some near by camp, attacking it :(
rest in piece, bob :(
zombiTrout: My turrets usually let the occasional ghoul or mole rat into the camp and half my stuff gets wrecked. On the other hand, my turrets love attacking traveling merchants or just randomly shooting the lights on the side of my house.
Saintbow: For some reason, I always have ghouls, angry beavers, and super mutants spawning inside my camp. I've learned where they spawn at and had to place turrets on those spots. But, now knowing that turrets soak up all my build capital, I'm going to rethink my location and build strats!
neethsuesvoldar3265: Most people don't even know that science perks and explosive perk actually effects how much damage your laser turrets can do. I like when people try to pvp me so I bring my travel camp out put down the prefab 10 enclave heavy laser turrets and 99% of the time they just leave the other 1% get gunned down in .5 seconds and can't even get close to the camp again if they manage to im already in my shelter full of tesla arcs waiting to flip a switch. I put 187 Tesla arcs in a shelter long before they made it to where you can build only 25 so it's staying.
travensachs: Critters don't spawn at your camp when there are no 'players' nearby - the problem is - if a player walks through and something spawns (or they're dragging mobs behind them that they're ignoring - and they don't kill it - the random spawn is able to start breaking/eating/bashing things while you're away from your camp. The turrets can prevent that from happening. From my observation knowing 'where' critters are likely to come into play and being selective about turret placement is key to knowing how many you might need and where to place them.
Sitheral: Enemies just shouldn't spawn near camps. Much like challenges, I feel like its just a cheap way to get us to spend our resources.
Hailsbells: I'm about ready to scrap mine. I've got super mutants spawning just out of detection for them but the bastards can certainly detect my camp and shoot :/
richardzeiders5496: My main camp is just above the Wayward & while I am out grinding doing daily's & events it get attacked plenty. When I head back home there are plenty of meat piles around my camp with a wealth of ammo & junk for me to scoop up. My issue is the limits on caps, camp size, & script. All Bethesda needs to do is reduce the weight of the items we use to create our camps. Each season & event adds so much junk that it's impossible to use in a meaningful manner.
Sabahes_ASMR: The spot I built my store/camp has a BOS guard post out front. Free turret and two armed npcs.
scorpios_corz: I'd just wish they would bloody fix them so they actually function as they should and not you having to target and kill whatever enemy is attacking your base for them to then do their job!
quadvixen: I removed all but one turret last week and have the same amount of damage on my camp (not much), I'm not near a spawn spot and have just a few enemies every now and then. Thanks for getting into the details here! I'm probably going to remove that remaining turret later and see how that goes :)
