perceivedvelocity9914: I hate the way they changed the scoreboard into seasons. The new system is just pointless grinding. There are less rewards overall and you need to complete a lot more levels to unlock everything. Also, Bethesda nerfed XP. You could gain a lot more XP before the change. The monetization guy that they hired from EA has made the game a lot less fun.
user-cz9jf1ec8s: Imagine if in the near future we have a gaming renaissance where developers either change for the better and make games the way they should be made, with TLC and trust that the game will sell itself, and the developers that don’t change will all go out of business.
I wanna live to see this happen.
dillonc7955: I've taken a long break from Fallout 76 but still watch your videos. The monetization is a bit ridiculous. One month I had to cancel my Fallout first to save financially and the game became a headache if you're the typical loot goblin Fallout player. When you're not paying for Fallout first, your stash box will be full of materials and you'll constantly be warring with the stash limit. Same story with the ammo storage. The game is basically unplayable no matter the build if you struggle with carrying weight or ammo. As time went on, I realized the people who continuously play this game are monetizing solutions to issues instead of the developers increasing the stash limit which is HEAVILY requested or removing weight to ammo entirely.
censorerik9601: These honest critiques of this game we all continue to play and support are vital for this community. Specifically new players. They get to hear opinions not inspired by simpism nor apathy, but genuine concern and frustration from a person who loves the game and just wants it to be it's best self. You speak for a lot of us with these views and you're doing it with equal parts optimism and apprehension. Keep up the good work with your precisely chosen words.
Also, I loved all the cut aways and inserts in this video. Nice way to keep levity present throughout.
Ahibasabala: I'm a builder too, and it's one of my favourite things in the game. I was bed-ridden for 3 months last year and weirdly, Fallout 76 was the game i missed and remembered the most. There's something about its atmosphere that makes it feel like it's real, i sometimes just stand somewhere and listen to the sounds almost as a form of relaxation. With regard to the developers though, yes, Bethesda have treated the players pretty roughly, and like you i have no idea why. The only other group of poor victims i can think of in the gaming world that get treated like an old rag, are team fortress 2 fans. I play that game too, so i get double the punishment
vindurza: Incase you are wondering it was illegal to falsely advertise the way they have been in the atom shop as of 2025 there's a mandate to repeal that law
Metalgod1984: The grind from 100 to 150 almost made me quit. Bonus items can be bought infinite time but doesn't help the fact it still sucks. Bring back scoreboards!!!
LeTon75: Massive respect for getting Grafton General lettering so straight
Jennifer_TM: Great video and anyone who did actually skip through the time stamps missed out, lol. I don't know if you realize how important your realistic and honest critiquing is. I won't purchase atom items without watching your feedback first because I made too many mistakes prior. (AKA fell for their false advertising.) Even outside of that, your voice impacts our entire gameplay, when the devs so choose to listen. <-- Speaking of the Fallout community.
super_terram: 5000 hour veteran player here... 100% accurate review.
Pyrate_Of_Las_Vegas: I have 2k hours in Fallout 4 mostly due to building Settlements and the restrictive building mechanic in F76 drives me crazy.
Avalas1986: As scarred as we can all from the hate online and in someways the world we escape from while on 76, you are right the community here is pretty amazing. With that said thank you for being the sarcastic builder that we all need and love, your own time that is put into this has been a big help to many of us, I include myself in this almost 100%.
Learning the building from you and the many cohorts you have in the building community has been wonderful.
I hope to continue seeing you in the future, signed a fellow Waste Bin receptacle.
edit:scared to scarred.
hardcorehypocrite1498: The one thing that disappointed me about the skyline valley update was no train tracks or train stations.
CookiemonsterOnLive: I'm approaching 2000 hours in Fo76 and I can honestly say you hit the nail on the head.... Except Fo 1st is a stranglehold on any player that cant play within the limits; after a certain time of playing you will be stuck wondering how to manage inventory and the only way to feel like you can 'make room' is to pass items between your 5 available characters. Bethesda know this and it is a cash cow for them I'm sure but it is extremely frustrating having to buy Fo 1st just to manage inventory.
For me the most fun is now curating armor sets to play the many different ways that legendary and perk cark building can offer. I look forward to being ghoulified also.
majorwo0dy14: I love your work, man. You have great dry humor and are honest. I like that you call out the Developers for all their errors. Your edits are good as well. Okay, enough kissing ass. Thanks for the laughs and the "Bad Advice" you say you give.
aussie_kitty_kat: Yup - totally agree with this really honest review and I love that, for the most part, it’s really positive. Let’s just hope they listen and give us the old boards or a similarly fair system (I can dream) and that they think a little harder when those ‘great ideas that are poorly executed’ are about to be released
Thanks as always for telling it how it is
FadingVitals: You’re absolutely right!
That’s why I haven’t bought anything with real money!
I spent 10€ for the game years ago, and that’s it.
Of course I would like to have all that stuff, but I’m not gonna throw money into Bethesdas greedy mouth!
SuperPlaque: Been playing since FO2 ( not old enough for FO1
beachybetty2479: Hard to login after the last trap nerf
MrJoshuaAM: I had two best build camps, and was considering submitting a third. Then I experienced my camp being blocked by one, and decided I don't want to be responsible for blocking someone else's camp when I'm not even on the server. I wish, instead of hourly showcases, it just highlighted everyone currently in the server with an active best build. This would also stop unwanted camps showing up in private worlds.
ikeduno7973: I didnt like that nuclear winter was scrapped, it was the only fun we were having in game for a while.
ponsau: Thumbs up this video so Bethesda can see it please
garryame4008: All good writing originates as a rant. It just takes a good writer to not sound crazy
R3N4N-A: I always tell people that we Fallout players suffer from a kind of "Virtual Stockholm Syndrome". Fallout 76, despite its many problems, is a fun game to play (I have almost 2,500 hours of gameplay) and Bethesda takes advantage of this little bit of satisfaction we have to do things anyhow and "fix them later".
But I would like to talk about a point that has been bothering me A LOT in recent updates. The lack of creativity in introducing some content or simply Bethesda's carelessness in not considering it important. Since the release of Skyline Valley (a dead area lately) we see that they are giving less and less importance to missions and events than they should. They propose a wonderful idea but the execution is horrible. Halloween is over and they couldn't fix the event that was removed years ago due to lack of commitment. The caravans were a disappointment and no one escorts them anymore, the rewards are not worth the time spent. The missions in the region were short, there are several empty areas that could be used for missions or events (there is a literal enclave base in the basement of the president's huts), and the main event of the area/update was not even introduced, leaving the community to discover it for themselves.
The same happened with the Raids, we finally had some "endgame" content and what did they do? A well-crafted narrated video but in the game you just go to the fissure and start killing creatures, no NPCs to introduce you, no missions, NOTHING, you just fast travel and that's it.
The next "big update" the Ghoul will only be introduced because it is something extremely important to the game and they will monetize it in the atom shop. I doubt there will be anything else relevant. I don't even want to mention the upcoming bee event... Bethesda really thinks we are babies playing video games.
morningcalls4: @Mister Church im not on discord, can you recommend to bethesda to give us the option to toggle on and off the option player to player trading? im tired of dying in the crystal room because the game thinks i want to trade with a team mate instead of jumping away from the one hit mole miners. it would be such a simple setting to add and im sure other players would appreciate it.
