mierwei3402: What's amusing is that many people willingly followed Messmer in his mass-murdering crusade, while Miquella the "kind" had to use mind control on most, if not all his followers, and likely Radahn too.
giovannigiorgio831: Messmer is easily one of my favorite characters in FromSoft and maybe even all of gaming. His design is amazing. His story is interesting. His personality and moves are awesome.
maize3201: Considering the clinic in his castle, Messmer and his troops also knew what the hornsent did to Marika’s people, so that for sure played a factor in the sheer brutality. Nothing like a mix of revenge and religious zealotry to fuel one of the most horrific genocides in a land full of them. At the very least they preserved a a lot of the hornsent knowledge and culture in the specimen storehouse.

MiguelRodriguez-gd5ut: It’s lowkey impressive how messmer despite his sheer brutality was also respected/admired enough by the people in the lands of shadows that he was able to establish his own infantry and a high guard that he trusted enough to teach his flame incantations to ; compared to miquella who basically roofied people into following him messmer has a lot of potential for being elden lord if he ever was given the chance.
