Salty_mayo: The stone golem being the most popular summon is because he’s so tanky he can almost solo radahn
marvcollins7842: Radahn is definitely a better boss now. The challenge is still there, but the bullshit was taken out.
ArtOfDyingWell: Taylew's advantage is that he's extremely tanky, but that's only because he has significant damage reduction. His health bar is very small in comparison so when he's low on health you use a healing spell and he's back to full health.
DottorNapoli: I defeated Radhan 4 times with 4 different builds before this patch and now i returned to try and defeat him again.
My impressions: old Radhan was hard for the wrong reasons. The difficulty of his boss fight was completely artificial. His moves were not hard to deal with except for his double slash that needed an almost perfect roll. In phase 2 those fucking light beams and Miquella's hair made it a guessing game instead of a skill game because you can't react to something you can't see coming. Lastly they increased his recovery for some attacks which is ok since he has too many HP and now you have more room to punish him. Now the boss is still hard, he's still the hardest boss in the game but he's fair now
esincorporated6123: Honestly it felt more like a fix to his jank, than an actual nerf. He's still the hardest fight in the game by a large degree.
TheAndreceva: For me the question is never about super hard boss=good, super easy boss=bad... it's more about is the fight enjoyable? To me, the fight has become more enjoyable and better paced. So I personally like the changes.
MinkDaddy: I love this community, really! But I've never seen any other community try to argue that bad hitboxes and blinding special effects are fair.
samfivedot: I'm just glad they apparently toned down his light show, I literally could not even see what he was doing
planetzdr: Radahn is a little less terribly designed now. Good stuff
Ryan-tn4gk: I couldn't defeat him but when I heard about the patch, I tried it and beat him in an hour. He's still hard, just not impossible anymore lol
kylehaney8947: Thing about Taylew, he’s got a megaton of hp or resistances. Because he’s very tanky. You can just heal from afar him time to time and he can solo Radahn
ironymaiden1089: R2 speed changes single handedly add an entirely new dimension to the game that was missing previously. Don't look at it a simple balance adjustment. Previously you just couldn't use those buttons and expect results. And since many weapons unique feature is their R2, that left most weapons that had bad R2s severely lacking and not worth to use. But now it's like half of the game got unearthed out of nowhere.
afonsocruz4646: We definitely need Covenants 6 player slots per world solo invasions, when the hype of this game is gone alongside all the casuals, there's nothing much left besides the PVP community.
daguess139: As a middle-aged husband and father of two young kids with a full-time job, I haven't been able to beat this boss for over two weeks. Not getting to play for long stretches prevented me from learning the patterns, especially in the second phase where it felt like a gamified epileptic seizure. I came close a couple times, but I've also come close to just moving on to another game. I've been a committed fan since Bloodborne and platinumed ER, and I'm sure I would have gotten it eventually, but it did seem a little over the top. I can appreciate both sides of the debate though.
