The Grand Unified Theory of Elden Ring Cosmology Vision

davidkrooswijk3243: Never have I ever seen such a crazy yet logical and insightful lore series. The ideas are stupidly abstract yet you manage to convey it clearly enough for a toddler to understand. On the surface your ideas sound like schizoid rambling, yet it all clicks together perfectly once you elaborate. Plus the editing and voice acting are just beautiful cherries on top. Congratulations dude, you are John Lore.

ianhay527: Elden ring got a grand unified theory before physics

joej78: metyr as a self insert is crazy

noamias4897: One of the few lore creators I watch right as the video comes out and not when I’m about to go to bed or want something to listen to

allthe1: WE DO CARE

As a fan of GRRM's work, I believe remembering and sharing thoughts and stories is a form of afterlife. This game will have left a mark on all of us, and your work keeps our community and experience alive, well after we've stopped playing it.

Thank you for that profound and meaningful series!

handandless7115: Gotta say, this is top-tier post-SOTE ER lore work.

I've admittedly fallen off from "Gen 1" ER loretubers (Vaati, Smough, Tarnished Archeologist) all of whom delved deep -- TA especially!! -- but have seemed to have fallen off for one reason or another after the DLC dropped.

In their stead, a new generation has cropped up to interpret

Feuerex: Out of all the mindblowing revelations presented in this video, the one I like the most probably comes right at the end. The fact that you came up with this in October, but the video about the primary thing you wanted to mention is coming by the end of March. You taking time to properly map everything, forming it into a coherent story, then simplifying that story so that people without these insights can easily follow along, and finally making it into a presentable format with chapters, logical links, visual aid and more, plays a huge factor in how well we can digest these theories. You are amazing at presenting these abstract concepts, easily rivaling the big souls lore channels, and I wish you a happy and bright future among the select few who can piece this game's story together.

I just cannot imagine how all of this was put together. The genius of someone taking such abstract concepts as the process of artistic creation, and weaving it into a medieval fantasy world is just as incomprehensible as the Great Old Ones from Lovecraft. I will take some time to ruminate on all of this before commenting on it any further

warcoder: So, you're implying that Martin has been ghosting Miyazaki since he finished his job?

Jokes aside, this was an amazing series of videos, and I hope you continue making more

suntanlo-shun1809: If the fingers are the creatives behind the game then we finally have an explanation for the finger creepers: What kind of slimy creature is found around creatives, weilding a binding power they exert remotely?... it's management!

Great video ellipsis, congrats for finally producing the grand theory

graysenm1320: Dude get out of my head. How did you know I rewatched this whole series yesterday? Great stuff man. Can’t wait to watch it!

haydenwidener8640: This is the greatest lore video I've ever seen. Legend

justfriendly7676: Yo, I just find and binge all your videos and already you post part 4?!

Truly, this is the Greater Will's channel.

wanderingsoul7690: holy shit this confirmed a bunch of my thoughts AND added more things. One of the greatest lore channels!

xcarmi5075: Magnum opus of lore YouTube. I salute you George R. R. “Greater Will” Martin for this masterwork.

nauth123: I kinda wanna talk with this guy. To just have a long conversation on topics like these!

It is hard to get people into topics so complicated, so I often find myself writing stuff on my head and later trying to get those ideas into my TTRPG table!

MappoCreature: that revelation at the end. absolute brilliant insight, I love this meta-textual reframing. well done!

falgalhutkinsmarzcal3962: Version 1.0 was more explicit in this theme. Just some examples:

The Lands Between Rune in the character select gift states, "The gold of grace shining in the eyes of the people in the Lands Between."

Grace Mimic: "Placing on the ground causes lines of light to appear. These lines are said to guide Tarnished down the right path. Whether you follow this path or not, is your choice."

Loretta's helm states that Miquella is the "recipient of the Vision" and that Radagon gifted Loretta to Miquella to serve him in pursuing that Vision. This "Vision" mirrors Marika as being a "vessel for the Vision". Vision also means a plan one sees to pursue, such as an enterprise or invention or artwork. Such punny wordplay is rampant throughout Elden Ring (coat of arms, Family Tree, fingerprint, etc.).

TytoAlpha: I really think you got it.

What’s so elegant is how ambiguity and speculation are just articulations of this theme of…what precisely? Perception? Yes, but I think an active perception, curious perception; the reactions of fear, of shock, pangs of sadness, the weight of futility, the pulse of hope. And of course, the ability to share those reactions.

「 Behold, Elden Ring! 」

Also telling a girl you’re cooking up a grand theory of Elden Ring

zackm_: i hardly ever comment on anything, but i wanted to to say: you're really good at this! nothing's made me understand my own enjoyment of elden ring better than your videos, and your interpretations make the whole game light up like a christmas tree in hindsight. i've come to believe that analysis of media like this is often more creative than it is deductive, and your videos have truly embodied that. definitely excited to see what you bring to other smaller topics within elden ring and to other games and media you might be interested in. keep up the good work!

raviamodernepic: Honestly, my favorite thing about playing Elden Ring is being able to keep up with all these philosophy videos. Great work!

SpectraSkittle: Such a beautiful video. Count Ymir would be proud of you.

SackofWoe: You said it, man. I've been thinking about the fingers of the developers since I saw Charred Thermos's videos on the meta narrative of bloodborne. When your first video came out, I thought. "Wow, this guy can put what I've been thinking into words"

snigglesnaggle485: Loved your Grand Unified Theory. I really enjoyed seeing someone giving the proper literary analysis that Elden Ring and the video game medium deserves. I'm looking very much forward to your future work!

Runningwritingreading: Eating of the eyes is a morphing of Perspective

WOW

Amazing. I hate writing on my phone. Will keep short. This is the most accurate interpretation of Ledne Rings meta marrative

CJMaserflash: I've been waiting for this, thank you king
