The Forgotten Four The Elden Ring DLC Lore You Didnt Know

tylermcfall9911: Babe wake up Miss Chalice dropped another Elden Ring video

AstonishingRed: Fromsoft Dev: “We get it Miyazaki-san, this is the Elden Ring DLC, the bosses have to be tough. But do we really need a random dude in a bear suit, cleverly named ‘Red Bear’, to have more HP and be a tougher fight than several shard bearing DEMI GOD bosses?”

Miyazaki: “Yes”.

miserablepileofsecrets: I love the overabundance of Berserk references in this game. It's like a big love letter to Miura, and that's amazing c:

dylanworth8038: Duty, dance, bloodshed, and the wild. All four of these characters cast aside aspects of themselves that most people would consider integral to ones self, all for the sake of becoming more in tune with their one driving purpose. We can draw similarities of how Miquella did the same thing in order to truly become a god, although Miquella never abandoned his name.

dishcleaner2: that sponsor segway was hilarious

Murphy-pt3yu: I've never had a vpn sponsor sneak up on me like that.

ColtonGamingTV: Zullie even noted in the video with the dlc npc faces that dancer of ranah shares 90% similar face data with Tanith.

communistcutie: The story of Rakshasa reminds me a lot of Sekiro and it's 'Shura' lore, rooted in ancient Japanese mythology! Rakshasa and Shura are described so similarly (shifting forms, an insatiable bloodthirst, a 'state of being' like Buddhahood for example) that I think they might even be referencing each other. She even has a Katana, and in Elden Ring lore, "the east" always refers to Japan, or Asia in general! (ie. the Land of Reeds).

Toasterstoasturface: Nameless 1: Guarding a gaol in solitude.

Nameless 2: A dance of passion and loss of identity.

Nameless 3: Endless killing to shed their mortal identity.

Nameless 4: B E A R

jaredwilkie6413: I think the bear roar incantation is referring to oneself realising there own potential and prowess, fighting and contending with the wild will bring out one’s own inner god. This is what godfrey was a warrior who fought with the wild became chief and fought more and at that point I believe that he met the requirements for certain holy rites to be performed on him. (We see this with marika and godfrey she noticed the unrivalled strength and prowess unlocking /fully realised his inner god and with that requirement fulfilled godfrey was put through a erdtree sap rite) a rite as in a rite of passage, as in oneself needs to achieve a level before being recognised.

RainerCozmo: I honestly love Rakshasa, the descriptions of her set and katana, plus the theory that she was the incident in the land of reeds is so cool to me. This woman is a force of nature.

merManc: Honestly, while I loved it as a whole, not getting to fight the dancer in the field of blue flowers was the biggest disappointment of the dlc. That part of the trailer really floored me.

BigBoyz33: Blackjail Knight was such a heavy Guts reference, i was fanboying so hard the whole fight haha
