Her and her people where persecuted in the most horrific ways imaginable almost being brought to extinction. So she did everything in her power to never let that happen ever again.

She usurped the old order and it's people. Ascended to godhood and created a new order where everyone would be reborn as her new family through the erdtree. Ruthlessly stomped out a anyone who would challenge her order. And removed the rune of death along with sealing away everything else that would harm her new family.

Only for that family to be cursed for all eternity and her most beloved son Godwin to be killed by one of her own family.

No wonder she just gave up after that.
