So, if you’re not wearing a helmet, the fight becomes significantly harder, as your resistance goes way down. For his one attack where he swings his swords from right to left at different times with one following a second after the other, you want to roll early on the first hit so you have enough time to dodge his second hit.

Edit: Just beat him myself! Out of flasks and at like 10% hp. Took me like 2 hours of learning his moves. Used Cold Milady and a brass shield from the beginning of the base game. Which has been my build for pretty much the entire DLC. It really is just patience and repitition. Greeding for extra hits is the #1 way to die. Same with panic healing bc it takes FOREVER.
