Elden Ring DLC RareUnused Enemy Voices

dannyd.9932: Man some of these Elden Ring cut content choices are confusing

Demokaze: Meanwhile the minor bowl cut character gets voicelines during invasions and a questline with two conclusions.

kamilmalach6383: Jar and man-fly voices are chilling. Like something between crying and crumbling away.

Also RELLANA IS NOT MUTE ANYMORE yay

ViolacTrough: I love that the Golem’s voice sounds like stone slabs scraping together with just a hint of chalk clacking.

lavishlyvice: Oh my god those jar voices are horrifying. Just when I thought the Lamenter's Gaol was bad enough already. Also very disappointed Rellana and Romina's voices were removed. On top of that I would have expected Rellana's line to be something calling out to her twin sister or Messmer. She and Romina were done dirty imo.

Sam-uk4mb: God even Rellana’s voice is hot

PierceArner: The voice lines for Rellana & Romina sound like they're something that was planned to be in something like a Phase 2 cinematic. It's great to actually hear them speak finally. I hope they get something a bit more included, like how Nepheli Loux got added content in a later patch.

Also, Romina calling the butterflies “children of the tower” is rather interesting, especially given that Melina, Messemer, Miquella, & Malenia have the butterfly crafting component parallels. (Also, her body seems like it might be that of the fairy who gifted the Blind Swordsman his flowing sword, especially given that he sealed the original God of Rot).

gaynarchist: I don't really understand why FromSoft was so willing to make advancements in this area with games like Sekiro but actively cuts out finished stuff for their souls games. Its like a weird artistic decision to stay in 2010 or something lol

MitridatedCarbon: It's my main complaint against the main game. it would have been better if our enemies weren't crazy zombies and just normal soldiers and have voicelines like bloodborne, or even chance to listen to them like Sekiro or have them talk during sleep. also does someone has the transcriptions for the jar innards? cause it sounds they are saying something.

DanielQuan13011: "Rise, Twin Moon."

Something is rising, and it isn't the Twin Moon.

ScorchedEarth-0: I do find it interesting the likes of Wego and other noteworthy fire knights had their own little tid bits to say

Cooler still is you can commit pseudo necromancy with Messmer's fire

JudgementBruno: Fromsoftware has a weird obssession with cutting perfectly fine content from their games.

angeltzepesh1: After witnessing so much cut content in Dark souls 3 and Elden Ring that actually makes the story/lore make sense, I'm convinced that Fromsoft creates a fully written storyline and just cuts up stuff to make it as cryptic as possible. Sometimes they cut so much that nothing even makes sense anymore.

What they did in Dark Souls 1 was the best, still cryptic, but way easier to understand the world and characters. Even if the late game areas feel unfinished, the lore is still great.

TheWarmachine375: Shame that they were cut out from the DLC than be kept in it.

slardarmaster19: The jar one is terrifying and sad.

bayouboigaming: Rellana never struck me as a talker but her sounding exactly like her twin sister is a nice touch.

HenryTaylor-pd9rt: It's really a shame none of these enemies talked. I'm beyond sick of the Dark Souls 1 convention of every enemy being a brainless insane zombie.

fertuzenok: Well, at least now we know what Rellana's voice sounds like. But it's still a disgrace that she had no dialogue or cutscenes.

omegawario7479: We seriously need more enemy voicelines. The yharnamites’ insults and lamentations were iconic and the immolation grandma’s “let us cleanse the bastard’s curse” was just peak.

user-dx8dy1uo8b: Some of these voice lines would have greatly improved the experience, especially the golem ones, they are so unnerving.

Also I think the first line for the fire knight was supposed to be pronounced by the guy on the bridge to Rahu.

It’s nice to see that not only they made sure to characterize the main officer of the fire knights, but the also planned voice lines for some of them.

Wego could have been a very interesting boss considering he’s the fire knight’s oldest member and has a whole fire necromancer gimmick, instead we just had another tree spirit in the back yard, which was great when the area was under water, but I still wanted to see a bit more from him.

AlastorAltruistGaming: The fact that they left out Rellana actually SPEAKING and/or any semblance of a cutscene is criminal.

copyrightstrike4666: The lines from the Jar Innards and Flies sound like garbled japanese. I wonder if they could be translated into something

derpyt772: When the jar innards said sibhghabdhubdghbhuh I felt that

timclaridge8458: Hearing the jar innards, now I kinda want a friendly one with a quest similar to Adeline from Old Hunters.

harvesterofsubs5561: I think Fromsoft might have taken a rare L with some of the DLC. Like, the fact that the shadow realm got banished so late into the timeline yet NO ONE talks about it in the base game is pretty unrealistic.

nunizillion: this really just highlights how bizarrely quiet and how little voice work exists in ER besides death screams

xryeau_1760: Yayyy Rellana & Romina have canon voices!

Tigerbro6: So you're telling me these voicelines that give more character to these voiceless npcs were actually voiced at some point... Makes me angry they didnt make the cut. The dlc felt like a regression from the main game in that regard

miriamemanueleforneris3701: Poor living things inside the jars

memeseller9444: Will never understand the reasoning behind Rellana not having a single piece of dialogue or even a cutscene showing her arriving or some such. With how long this DLC was in development for, they really didn't have time or a dedicated team to animate more cutscenes?

whitewolf3078: Fromsoftware, make a game without too much cut cool content challenge: impossible
