Elden Ring DLC Midra Lord of Frenzied Flame No Damage Boss Fight

emissaryofthecows3389: Imagine spending years upon years, centuries upon centuries, enduring the most wretched, agonizing pain all in hopes that the apocalyptic power that writhes beneath your skin may not escape. Imagine that pain, eating away at your mind like waves eat away at rocks until finally, you decide "Enough, I've endured enough; let the world burn to ash so that I may escape this pain"

And when you finally unshackle the monster within, literally tearing yourself apart so that this herald of destruction may walk free, some guy wearing underpants and a bear hat just walks in and kicks you to death.
shadypengu: Every time I finally beat a boss that kicked my ass for hours I open youtube and see this guy, its like insult to injury.
pathfindersavant3988: the fact you can't get either his sick cape for the Inquisitor robes is a crime against fashion souls
bugezcruise173: Coolest boss of the DLC imo
Metalote: Top OST’s of the whole game, ngl
Depressbian: I love how for most players Midra is a grave cautionary tale, but for a few of our Tarnished, it's a kind of Highlander moment, there can be only one.
filiplass7442: What I really appreciate about ongbal's no hit videos is just how unique they are. Utilising the dlc weapons and spells in such a cool way, switching weapons, using a weapon art, or a spell to move into the air and dodge an attack, etc. It's genuinely so cool and impressive imo. Keep up the great work, ongbal!
samwoo86: “The depths of y-“ immediate hands thrown
soulsmasterxw7373: My favorite thing about this boss is that none of his hitboxes persist like base game bosses. As soon as theres an AOE explosion you can run back into it and take no damage. Same with the frenzied flame trails his sword leaves, dodge the sword and you dodge the flame. This makes the fight feel alot more polished than other fights.
gabem3251: Can’t decide if Midra or Messmer is the best boss of the dlc, they’re both so good
ihopeso154: Day 1 of asking Ongbal to use deflect tear on Malenia
PierceArner: Using swords to slice him to ribbons when he's unarmed and then swapping to martial arts when he's using a weapon is just a neat juxtaposition, as is using the Bear helm given that the Abyssal Forest is inhabited almost only by animals.

White Light Charge as a gap closer and Messemer's Flame to hang in the air are both really neat compliments to the flow of attacks that, as always, make your presentation stand out beyond just its flawless execution!
Jm-ki4su: "forgive me master, for i am going to show this tarnished the secrets of the world. ALL OF THEM"
blockydaracer7382: EASILY my favorite fight of the DLC, should've had a third phase
michaelmarutyan9181: I'm going to crap my pants when i see ongbal do a no damage run for every remembrance boss in a row
milessteamaccount: Congrats on 300K subs ongbal! ur the best souls player ever!
bloodywolf6483: Best OST in the whole game for Real!
TheNeonArcade: Such a dope boss
Thanatos913: Him holding the sword and it piercing it's flesh evokes the same feeling as Griffith piercing his neck on some wood just before eclipse. Both Midra and Griffith are in that moment completely powerless and in torment just before attaining supreme power
the_Red_Star: I appreciate that there's still at least one boss that telegraphs its attacks in a fairly slow and readable manner.
but it probably shouldn't have been the avatar of chaos, of all bosses...
HE13272326: The Boss designs in the DLC are amazing!
BirdWithAKnife345: The whole fight was Madness.
(Pun intended)
