Elden Ring A glaring oversight

RadiantBeachShulk: You know it's gonna be a rough dungeon when they give you deathblight boluses for free in the first side room

Machuell_DuLac: I find destined death being the only thing that can stop deathblight to be incredibly lore accurate. If not for the lack of death animation, I would have argued it was intentional.

umgak_prime: In a similar vein, the flame lightning that strikes in the Jagged Peak area is actually spawned by a dozen or so invisible, intangible NPCs. However, once Bayle is defeated, they stop spawning lightning and become targetable and killable, they're just invisible playermodels.

fdhappy6930: "Watching over the corridors with their balefu-"

"CURSE YOU BAYLE! I HEREBY VOW, YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY!"

TheSsjJoker: Good ole bug eyes, been around since the beginning of the series playing essentially the same role…killing via bad breath

Raine_Sakan: It’s really menacing the first time I discovered it, just two massive blue berries floating down the hallway whilst procing deathblight

jenny_azoth: i love that they worked their way up to basilisks in an iterative manner to really emphasize how they work, especially those eyes

NinjablazerZero1: While this is definitely just a simple oversight of an edge case slipping through the cracks, it seems weirdly appropriate for Black Flame and Destined Death to both have this sort of effect on the Eyes.

darkaleksboy1548: If they could Zullie would be slayin’

wadsie3909: Interestingly, these basilisk statues could be "dealt with" by other means. Using mimic veil proved to be useful, as in most of the cases, even while moving, the death status effect wasn't applying to the character when I first tried it. Although it worked quite janky with the moving eyes, so it might just be a bug or an oversight, since technically the statues couldn't see you because of the veil.

Officiallightblade76: I haven't seen anyone mention how basilisks' eyes, and the eyes that appear in these catacombs, look strikingly similar to an eclipse, with their pitch black pupils and thin white ring around it. It seems to be another intentional connection between eclipses and the story at Castle Sol and Godwyn's deathblight, though I'm not sure what it would mean in this context

jeremiah5511: "AND STOP STARING AT ME WITH THOSE BIG OL EYES!"

sayanchandaroy7420: it's at least thematic that the deathblight-causing abomination would be killable by Destined Death or it's bastardized desaturated counterpart

raging100: i should call her

BLUNTASFFF: fairplay, your vids are probably the sole reason the kingsfield songs have so many views on YT

kalimaude3532: Oh, I see you've cleverly hidden an eye pun in the title there.

That's great! I always love a good optical elusion.

Tarnishedwarrior1958: Man! Those big eyes in scorpion river catacombs terrified me alot. They've made dungeons amazing in the dlc.

realkingofantarctica: If looks could kill, Butchie DeConcini would be able to whack two people on different sides of the room.

California_Doge: Nice lil vid to go with my Morning Bowl of Rejuvenating Boluses.

maxwellfujs6124: I like how the eyes look like an eclipse.

velvetdraws3452: you cant trick us zullie, this is a godwyn video disguised as a game mechanic video!

DarknessshadowKGA: Zullie, I really love when you use King’s field Music. Thank you.

4dragons632: I had the sudden thought when you said they could be killed that it would be Margits shackle and cursed myself for not trying it. I would never have thought this could work.
