meowmere3240: What makes Claws even better is that Bloodflame Blade ignores status buildup motion values, so basically if you hit twice, that bleed also gets applied twice as much (usually when dual wielding, it's only 65% per hit). Paired weapons like Claws benefit from this the most because normally, you can only apply Bloodflame Blade to your right weapon and not both.

Despite the usual benefits (more damage, more negation, more stamina recovery), alot of people ignore the fact the changed charged heavy attack applies 3 times the amount of status effect build up. With a bleed venomous fang braggart's roar you can literally apply bothe effects in a single charged heavy on some enemies. And the gap closing is also pretty useful.
