Also, cane sword along with the estoc are the lightest weapons that can be infused with Seppuku, which comes in very handy when you want to proc all your bleed buffs at the fog wall with a weapon that can't run Seppuku like Falx, Claws of Night, Red Bear Claw, etc.

Eldan-l0rd: they realy gave us talismans in the dlc (rellana's cameo and talisman of the dread) that cement the sword of night and flame and the blasphemous blade as the greatest weapons in their class even when they already were before
somedudewithakeyboard5388: Sleep staggers are literally a second free damage window alongside stancebreaks, that's their purpose. You get a free 2-3 extra attacks without worrying about getting attacked back, that's 2-3 hits of stance damage to enemies while they're staggered

Eternal Sleep staggers let you attack without interrupting the stagger startup, making it better than normal sleep in every single situation
