in 2024 people dont have attention span for 6 seasons for a game to "get better" you get one shot at launch and that's it. make good games.

actionitybeamy: bcoz of the changes in season 4 i didn't need to look for builds, the tempering and masterworks really push players to make a character that they want, build it the way they can. its fun. i like it.

- Leveling is way easier and much faster.

- Itemization is way more straightforward and generally better.

- Looting generally gives you less garbage and more useful items.

I wish there was a little more to the seasonal mechanics though, like the Seneschal in Season 3 and the Vampiric Powers in Season 2, there's really no special flare to this season. It's just helltides and tempering.

TGFTH: instead of reseting the Leveling, how bout just reseting the story line? I wish I could play level 100 character in storyline mode

Lexing187: Long answer: No. Short answer: No.

AGiganticNerd: I like to think of levels being like weight classes in any sort of combat sport. For most games, ~5 levels should basically be a weight class. It's not unrealistic that a skilled fighter could fight above their weight class (~5 levels), but going 3-4 classes up (~15-20 levels)? No.

It shouldn't necessarily be impossible (with, say, a huge time investment or incredible luck), but it shouldn't be something that can be done solo easily by even the most skilled players. Realistically, it shouldn't be worth the effort most of the time, aside from the prestige of it.

(This is just my philosophy on game design. And the numbers are just examples, not absolute numbers that must apply to every game/genre.)

battlecarrier: The capstones being too easy seems like a bit more of a build balance issue than a difficulty issue. There's plenty of builds that aren't crushing capstones at lvl 30.

ppxppx: Helltides is like Cow level from D2 now. We ran it back in the day to level up quickly. Blizzard gave us what we wanted.

ryanklomp4013: In terms of d4 i think its a great reballance of the game and has given it the feet to stand on against diablo 3 and 2 but they need to keep up the quality and not do another season 3

davidcarpenter4719: I really like the tempering and codex. Also i didnt feel like i had to follow a meta lvling build. But around lvl 65 you really start to realize its the same. Once the min maxing starts it gets that same feel. Trying to grab a certain poece of gear still feels the same. Overall i like it

Diablo 4 remains a dead husk

ajthedemon40: Pros: 1. QoL changes are fantastic, 2. Loot is much easier to understand (could use more complexity in the future), 3. More density = more fun. 4. Loot that drops with greater affixes = Dopamine hit (feels good to drop loot)

Cons: 1. Game is too easy only real challenge is late game pit (no leaderboards or any kind of reward system for progressing farther into pit). 2. Game is boring (Core problem right now generator/spendor gameplay sucks and no diverse types of content that really challenges the player) 3. Skill twigs (way too simple need a lot more varying skills and skill add-ons for all characters)
