Agent_Cobalt: So I haven’t played much of DC Online, but the premise is that Future Luthor causes thousands of random people to gain super powers as a means to fight a Braniac and that’s where you make your character. You make either a hero or a villain and that determines who your quest givers will be and where you start. I’m sure there’s other faction mechanics but I never delved too deep into it. I always preferred champions online for the better character customization

It is pretty dated in the animation department, but graphically I think it held up well. It's like their movements are slow and weightless

It just had standard MMO gameplay like World of Warcraft, but super heroes.

BigBoss_03: You should check out the injustice 1 & 2 trailers. They were made by the creators of the mortal kombat games. It's basically about the Justice League being destroyed because ultimately Superman becomes evil and it's about to Batman and a couple of others to stop him.

Luthor goes back in time to unleash a process that gives loads of normal people super powers to fight the upcoming battle with Brainiac. That's how you create your character and choose powers and such. A lot of fun.

DCUO is an mmo where you create your own superhero/villain and work alongside notable characters to stop Brainiac, not really Lex Luthor (as of the last time I played it anyway). My takeaway initially was that Luthor just wanted to live and take down Superman with Brainiac out of the equation.

LowbrowDeluxe: I'll go ahead and tell my favorite part of DCUO. When you create a character you pick a mentor, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman for good guys, Lex, Circe, or the Joker for villains. If you go villain and choose Joker as your mentor the first 14-15 levels are decent quests in Gotham. Eventually you get sent to an abandoned circus to help Harley with something and as you're arriving your communicator lights up like usual, and you click on it expecting a bit of dialog about the mission from the Joker or Harley noticing your arrival. Instead you click it and Batman appears in the communicator just staring at you and says "Don't think I haven't noticed what you've been up to. I'll be watching."

stiles5621: I play this game since the beta and im still playing it always in top having almost everything and the gameplay is not like u see it there but it is for me the best MMO gameplay ever just need to get more powers and stuff i can only speak as a veteran perspective i guess but for new ppl its so much u can play 2 years non stop techinquely i always recommend the game its free and its fun
