Damood: Very tone deaf idea from momentik. The way it reads is "let me take 34.99$ from select people so I can decrease the quality of videos I make using content of others".

The way he sells this is also dishonest and does not set realistic expectations. Maybe start asking the big content creators for 34$ to be included? Oh right, your channel doesn't exist if you don't have the content from larger established channels that are already getting huge views. It also takes no effort to make a video from clips that have already gained traction.

I personally wouldn't want any of my clips on his channel after this and i'm sure there are others who feel the same way.

I own a rage room business and worked for over a year before I was able to pay myself. Moved back in with my parents during that time, and had to have them pay for food. I’m 23 now with 3 franchises of my rage room open, gaining royalties from all of them. When lorr says being an entrepreneur is harsh, he is right on the point. BUUUUUT! It will be worth it if you stick to it.

I’ll just explain this: The whole idea behind this offer came from someone who was actually willing to pay big for it before, and I’ve also heard from other clip channels that they’ve had similar offers in the past. So my thought process was, "If one person is down, maybe there are more out there who wouldn’t mind paying, especially if they have the money for it."

In the old school RuneScape community there is a channel called Behemeth clips who is a clip channel but will regularly pay channels money because of how much money clip channels generate.

With that being said, Momentiks is an absolute leech taking advantage of new streamers; knowing they will never see any growth from their 10 sec clips in his videos. _jsonV: This seems like a cash grab and is just gross. A good montage channel should uplift the community, not turn it into a pay-to-play scheme. Charging smaller creators is exploitative. They SHOULD make an effort to give back to the community they're taking (stealing?) from. If they've identified smaller creators who actually make quality content, they should feature them on their own volition.
