The nerfs to cleric buffs were over excessive. That's why they reverted some of it.

8 second Prot spell is still poo poo

Smite didn't really get a "buff" - more like a revert of the MDB curve. Since MDB changes Smite had almost no scaling at all whatsoever. The tooltip damage was all it was ever going to do even in full legos.
